Nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, Birdhouse Brokerage is a family-owned and operated business.  Our birdhouses are lovingly hand-crafted using freshly-milled and reclaimed barn wood, rescued from aging barns found in the scenic Hudson Valley of New York. Some of our old timbers date back 100 years or more, and are skillfully transformed into unique birdhouses with the charm of yesteryear.

Careful hand-distressing of the new wood is accomplished through a multi-step process in our own workshop in Ulster County. The paints that we use stand the test of time and weather beautifully. Each piece is hand-nailed and screwed together for long-lasting strength. No glues are used in our construction. Because no two pieces of  aged wood are alike, each birdhouse has it's very own personality. As a result, every birdhouse we build is truly one-of-a-kind.   They are equally attractive indoors our out.   85% of our customers think that they are just too charming to put outside, so they keep them inside as decorative accents throughout their homes.

Handmade of new, distressed, and time-tempered wood, these are pieces with a sense of time and permanence; crafted using the time-honored techniques of master wood workers.

We try to be as "green" as possible. We recycle as much as we can, even our shipping boxes and packing supplies are recycled from a wonderful furniture store in Poughkeepsie, New York. Davis Furniture knows about our business and is helping us keep your cost as low as possible by supplying us with recycled shipping supplies. So don't be surprised when a recycled box arrives at your home with one of our lovely birdhouses inside! We also try to support our local businesses.
