Nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, Birdhouse Brokerage is a family-owned and operated business.  All of our birdhouses are lovingly hand-crafted using reclaimed vintage barn wood, rescued from aging barns found in the Scenic Hudson Valley of New York.  Old timbers, most dating back 150 years or more, are skillfully transformed into unique birdhouses with the charm of yesteryear.

To preserve the natural beauty and integrity of the wood, and to protect the wildlife that may make your birdhouse their home, no glues or stains are used in the crafting of our birdhouses.  Because no two pieces of barn wood are alike, they are replete with time’s nicks, scars, and a rich patina, each birdhouse has it’s very own charm.   As a result, every birdhouse we build is truly one-of-a-kind.   They are equally attractive indoors our out.   85% of our customers think that they are just too charming to put outside, so they keep them inside as decorative accents throughout their homes.

Handmade of time-tempered wood 100-200 years old, these are pieces with a sense of time and permanence; crafted using the time-honored techniques of master wood workers.

We try to be as "green" as possible. We recycle as much as we can, even our shipping boxes and packing supplies are recycled from a wonderful furniture store in Poughkeepsie, New York. Davis Furniture knows about our business and is helping us keep your cost as low as possible by supplying us with recycled shipping supplies. So don't be surprised when a recycled box arrives at your home with one of our lovely birdhouses inside!
